About NAAHoLS

History

The North American Association for the History of the Language Sciences (NAAHoLS) was founded in San Francisco in December 1987. The first NAAHoLS meeting was held in December 1988 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and NAAHoLS began meeting as a Sister Society of the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) in 1989.

The next NAAHoLS Annual Meeting will be held on January 6-7, 2023. Details about the meeting schedule will be shared here as they become available.
